Home Gym Flooring

I am planning to start a home gym, what are some good workout weight benches that is worth its price and works well?

I know I could never afford such a house…..but tell me how much this house would be worth? I want 6 bedrooms, half court of a basketball indoor gym, a game room, excersize room, indoor swimming pool, 7 bathrooms, a movie room, a living room and a family room, laundry room of course, marble floor for most of the floor in the home, a library and a nice size patio. I want all those features in the house: how much would that cost if I already have the land, how long would it take to built, how many square feet would it be for everything? And the rooms would be at least 13 X 14, and a swimming pool with a basket hoop and a diving board, how much would all this cost? how long? how many square feet is this house? mortgage? tax/year? how much if they provide the furniture and without the furniture?
I live in Minnesota, I prefer living in Eden Praire for my dream home if I win the powerball….

i need to know what to put in the gym but more importantly (im remodeling everything) the walls the floor the cealing… all that stuff

I’m redoing my basement. There are several women in my house — teenager, 20 somethings and even a 50-year old who all want to do some sort of workout.

Is there a book on the topic of designing an at-home gym. I don’t mind spending the money on the equipment but I don’t want to waste time and money if it isn’t going to be used.

What equipment should I buy — stationary bike, treadmill, rower? What about flooring? I was thinking of getting a TV and dvd recorder to encourage its use.  Read more...

My husband and I recently bought a 2005, 4bdrm, 3bath home in the Dallas metro area. We made the first floor office room into a small home gym, and the upstairs game room into my husband’s home office (which he needs a ton of room as he works from home). kept the remaining bedrooms as guest bedrooms, both w/ Q-size beds. Eventually, we plan to move the servers elsewhere and convert the server room into a third bedroom. If we have a baby in the meantime, we will keep it in the master br w/ us at least until the child is three years old, but probably closer to five.  Read more...
