Question by D: How thick should padded floor be in an exercise room?
I am looking to purchase interlocking padded flooring for an exercise room in my home. There are several thickness types. What should be the minimum thickness for the padded floor, it will be used for cardio, aerobics, and yoga. Also anyone know of a good place to purchase the flooring?
The room has hardwood floors I am just looking for padding to put on top of the already existing floor

Exercise Floor Mats Have Changed A Lot Since I Was At School
I never really understood why people wasted money on exercise floor mats. Now that I have hardwood floors in my home I am beginning to understand. I suspect that even if I had carpet I would probably want to get one of these. There are many exercises you can do on your feet, but there are many more that you may require you to come into contact with your floor. Even if you are only putting your elbows or perhaps your knees on your floor, you’re going to want some sort of cushion.

St. Louis Spends Another Day Coping With Dangerous Heat
In St. Charles, many spent the hot day cleaning up the damage caused by Thursday’s thunderstorms. It’s humid and hot inside Basye’s Flooring in St. Charles. Lucky for them, they were already in the process of moving across the highway to a new site when winds peeled back the roof of their store. They’ll be back in business Monday.
